Footwear Design Development Institute (FDDI)

The site plan of the institute draws its inspiration from the 17th-century alchemical symbol, which incorporates the concept of the squared circle. This intricate design element not only adds a layer of symbolism but also serves as a guiding principle for the layout.

Just as alchemy seeks spiritual growth, our design approach has been centered around the well-being and academic growth of the users, particularly the students. We’ve strived to create a built environment that fosters a harmonious balance between academics, recreation, and residential aspects. This approach prioritizes the holistic development and nurturing of the individuals who will inhabit the space.

To visually unite the diverse components of the institute, we’ve employed a common façade language. This design choice promotes a sense of unity and imparts an eclectic charm to the overall structure, making it a visually captivating and cohesive entity.

The volume of the building has been thoughtfully manipulated to interact with and complement the natural greenery that surrounds it. It collides, intersects, and aligns itself parallel to the structure’s green vertebra, ensuring that the spatial experience remains dynamic and engaging. This design philosophy not only enhances aesthetics but also contributes to the overall functional and visual appeal of the institute.
