NBCC CENTRAL EXCISE COMMISSIONERATE

For the NBCC Central Excise Commissionerate in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the design takes inspiration from the rich Mughal and Classical architectural heritage that defines much of New Delhi’s skyline. The result is a sophisticated blend of traditional elements and contemporary functionalities, notably in the inclusion of stone jaali. This feature not only elevates the aesthetic ambiance but also enhances the building’s structural aspects.

The material palette of the building is intentionally minimalistic, focusing on two primary elements that contribute to its unique identity. A dominant grey tone serves as one, giving the building a modern yet timeless appeal. Secondly, the glass framework allows the structure to harmonize with its green surroundings, almost becoming a part of the natural landscape.

What might catch the eye of a passer-by is the building’s vertical segmentation, creating a wave-like effect that adds an element of dynamism to its facade. From an environmental standpoint, the architectural layout aims to make the most out of natural daylight, reducing the dependency on artificial lighting and thereby contributing to energy efficiency.

It’s worth mentioning that the building is also designed with green automation features, making it an environmentally conscious choice without compromising on aesthetic or functional appeal. Overall, the NBCC Central Excise Commissionerate aims to be not just a workspace, but also a notable addition to the architectural tapestry of the region.
